YASAWA HOMESTAYS

Yasawa Island

YASAWA HOMESTAYS

Navotua, Malakati and Naisisili are three villages located on Nacula island, Fiji, South Pacific. They are roughly the same size, located two miles from each other. It is possible to do a fascinating 2-3 hour hike from one village to another, over pristine hills and pockets of ancient dry rainforest. These unique homestays are intercultural projects collectively run by villagers themselves. Navotua Homestay project was started back in 2012, Malakati Homestay in August 2016 and Naisisili Homestay in July 2017. All bures were constructed on native land with local materials by villagers according to the traditional centuries old architecture. The overall environment is very similar in all villages.
